- Stop the opener. If the door will not move, do not keep pressing the button. The motor can strain or tear the seal.
- Clear snow and ice from around the bottom of the door, inside and outside.
- Free the seal gently. Use a plastic scraper, or let a little warm air from a hair dryer or a heater soften the ice. Do not use a metal tool. Do not pour boiling water. It can refreeze and crack the seal.
- Look at the door. If a cable is loose, a spring looks damaged or the door is crooked, stop and call us. Do not lift the door by hand.
- Run the door once with the opener when it is free and moves smoothly.
